OK Viking fans, I honorably came on here Thanksgiving afternoon and ate crow when your team beat my Lions.
Now, I expect all of the unreasonable Viking trolls and fans to show up, be honorable, and TAKE YOUR MEDICINE!
And it only gets worse for your team, as Matt Patricia takes over the Lions, maybe we bring Le’veon Bell back to the great state of Michigan, and Matthew Stafford’s greatness will be realized.
Next season will truly be

You had a Jaguars DB who talked a little too much and was humbled by the Patriots. Then you had a Vikings fan base that was boasting like they were the Patriots despite needing a last second miracle to beat the Saints at home. Someone recently said it perfectly, “Be humble or be humbled!”

coachkilla6 says:

January 21, 2018 at 9:47 pm

WOW Viking fans. Really? How big of a bow does the NFL have to wrap around your team before you actually win a SB? First, Rodgers misses 2/3 of the season so GB isn’t much of a factor. Detroit has a down year. Not a factor. Chicago is, well, Chicago. So, winning the North was easy for the Vikes. Then, they lose their first playoff game, except they don’t. The Diggs TD last week only happens because Williams completely whiffs on an easy tackle. All you had to do was go to Philly and beat a backup QB and you get a SB opportunity in your own back yard. What happened?
Now, you’ll deflect and talk about past Packer failures, but that won’t make your loss any easier to swallow. The Packers, as you know, own 4 SB titles. If the Vikings couldn’t win it this year, with all of the lucky breaks they caught, then when??

I was hoping to face the Vikings in the SB as the Eagles defensive line will give the Patriots offensive line problems. However in the end, Belichick will overcome. He will once again put the game on Nick Foles to win and I believe just like Bortles earlier today, he will not be able to do it.

While I knew Minnesota was going to have a tough game as all Conference Championship games are. I expected them to at least make the game competitive for more than 2 quarters.

As I tried to tell all of you fellow “Vikings fans” who were spouting off about how great this team is and how they’d dominate the Eagles and they’re destined this and that… Those of us who’ve been fans for this franchise for 35+ years know….. This team has NEVER and I mean NEVER EVER won ANYTHING!! They’ve lost EVERY SINGLE big game they’ve EVER been favored in. So, from now on, sit down, shut up and show repect for your opponent, because the history says; “The Minnesota Vikings will lose!” and today proves it yet again.
Anyone wanting to live by my mantra for this team;
“Zero expectations equals zero disappointments!”
You’re free to. I’d like to add, I literally expect games just like this one. Oh sometimes this franchise likes to try to trick me into believing they’ll win a big game (e.g. NFC Championship), but only to lose it in the last second on some epic fail situation. But, since the 1999 NFC Championship Game vs the Falcons, they’ll NEVER make me believe again. Until the day they are holding the Lombardi and I’m 99.99999999999% that will never happen.
Grats to Philly! Now, go crush the Pats!!!

Crazy game. That one TD where Foles came out of a sure sack and fired a 40+ yard TD was Wentzlike. He was in the zone as was the whole team. To give up 7 points on the first drive and then score 38 unanswered points was a total team effort.
To think the Eagles will be an underdog for a 3rd straight playoff game is insane but the Pats deserve to be the favorite, besides the Eagles relish the idea of being the underdog.
The Eagles were better today than they were against last week and hopefully even better for the superbowl. They have given up 17 points in the last 8 quarters while scoring 53.

Sorry, but no one runs their mouths more than the Packer fans. A few Viking fans are likely mouthy, but not nearly as many as for other teams (like you). Most of us just hope the Vikings can win one SB, so we can quit hearing the tired refrain from bozos like you “you have never won anything”. Technically, not true. Purpleguy, I’d be lying if I didn’t agree that some of this is deserved. However, you’ve consistently been one of the classier Vikings fans here all season, not to mention a knowledgeable and well-grounded one. Vikings got totally outclassed and outcoached. They completely fell apart after that pick six. The Vikings will never make it back to the Super Bowl. I said it eight years ago and I’ll say it every year. I’ll still root for the team to do well but I’ll have no expectations. That #1 ranked defense does you no good if it only shows up for two out of eight quarters in the playoffs. I hope they learn something from this experience but I doubt they will.

Packers fan here. Unlike many of you Vikings fans, who slammed the Packers unmercifully after Rodgers went down, I am not going to dump on your team and you after this loss. Your team exceeded expectations with Case Keenum at QB. And, I’ll concede that you’re still the best team in the NFCN. But make no mistake — you have a target on your back and it will be interesting to see how you handle it. Your recent history says you don’t handle it too well.
So congratulations on your season and I actually feel sorry for you on yet another disappointing loss when your hopes were so high.

Might have been some hangover from last week, but Philly was flat out better prepared and out executed Minnesota. From gameplan to fundamentals, there was no doubt Philly was the better team today.

As for the Eagles — wow!! That’s the best game I’ve seen them play since they beat the daylights out of the Cowboys when Wilbert Montgomery ran all over them, also in the playoffs.
What can you say about the game Foles played, when no one gave him a chance to do it? I’m extremely happy they won for two reasons. One, I was born in Philly and my 4 brothers still live in the Philly area and are all huge Eagles fans, and two — Doug Peterson is a former Packers player and I am a huge Packers fan.
So — good luck to the Eagles against the Patriots. It won’t be easy, because Tom Brady is simply the best QB in NFL history and Bill Belichick is the best coach since Vince Lombardi.
I think the game will be very close, and the Eagles can score on that Pats defense. If I had to bet, I’d take the Pats because of Tom Brady. He is just so damned good it’s scary. But that said, I think the Eagles have a punchers chance to win it with that defense. Especially if Gronk can’t play.
Congrats to all Pats and Eagles fans everywhere! You were the two best teams this year and you both deserve to be there!!

In the vikings defense however, they just lost to a much better team with a far superior defense. Don’t get me wrong, the vikings are pretty good regular-season defense, but they obviously can’t handle performing on the big stage in the bright lights of the playoffs.
They should have realized that if they needed a miracle to win a divisional round playoff game, they wouldn’t go very far in the actual NFC Championship game. But then again, the vikings and their fans are used to turning in their worst performances in their biggest games. Thank god they were able to trademark “Miracle in Minneapolis” or “Minnesota Miracle” or whatever they called their win last week. Viking fans have to look for the positives in this one. The Vikings lost a NFC Championship game to the Giants 41-0 so today at least the Vikings scored (that’s a positive) and they kept the margin of victory to 31 points, a full 10 less points compared to the loss to the Giants, another positive!
Other than that, they face a long off season of which Qb to keep and the thoughts of 57 straight years of never winning a Superbowl. Might be another 57 before they get there again.

The Vikings had a very good season, one they can be proud of. When your chain comes off the bike at the start of the race, it’s very hard to stay in contention for the rest of the race. They didn’t choke, they simply got outplayed…….just like the Packers did last year against Atlanta. It happens. It is not easy to get to a SuperBowl, much less win one. That’s why the mocking of Rodgers “for only winning one” is so ludicrous. Maybe now some of you will appreciate how difficult it is, No. 1 ranked defense or not.

A half decent defense, sure, but that shouldn’t carry you to a Superbowl win. They got what they had coming. Saints should have taken it last weekend, but a lucky break got them another week of play.
Anyone wanting to live by my mantra for this team;

Other secret: Jags may be better than Tenn covering RBs and TEs, but it’s not by much.
Vikes vs Pats in SB 52.
Minnesota 3rd down conversion rate 6-13. Hey, not too shabby.
Other than getting flattened by 31 and committing 3 turnovers, that’s just a tick under 50%. Good job!
I’m sure there are Barneys that will crunch the numbers on that.
I mean…that’s all they did when they talked about the No.1 defense in the NFL.

Haha, no Vikings home field advantage in the SB. Knew they would not win. Host team never makes it.

Let me guess… there were bounties in this one too?

I’m not sure if this has been said on here yet but how did Doug P not win coach of the year? Beats the rams and then the team that knocked them out but gets no love

By the way, can someone tell me what 0-57 means? I don’t get it.

I mean, like, even Clay Matthews would have tackled somebody. Lol

What I don’t get is why pretty much all my friends that are Vikings fans are going to root for the Patriots. As a Packer fan I have always cheered on the NFC. Guess I’m just not that disgruntle after the Pack lose a NFCC game.

Foles would have probably had a really fine career had Chip Kelly not come along and forced him out after his second year as a starter. They probably never needed Wentz. Just weren’t patient enough to stick with Foles.
